Suzi DeYoung

Chief Financial Officer

Suzi brings over 20 years of finance and operations leadership, with a proven track record of turning complex public education budgets into engines for transparency, sustainability, and student success.

Suzi began her career in corporate finance, holding leadership roles at Archos, On Command, and Teletech. In 2008, she brought that expertise into public education—joining Denver Public Schools to manage a $1.5B budget and spearhead reform. She went on to serve as CFO for two large suburban school districts in Colorado, where she secured over $350 million in bond funding without raising taxpayer rates and earned multiple GFOA awards for excellence in reporting.

Most recently, Suzi was CFO at KIPP NYC, overseeing financial operations for 18 schools and 8,000+ students. There, she implemented new revenue forecasting tools and upgraded systems to help leaders make better, faster decisions.

Suzi holds an MBA from the University of Denver, a Certificate in Education; Finance from Georgetown University, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Iowa. She’s also served on the boards of ColoTrust and the Colorado Association of School Business Officials.
